Institute For Christian Ministry

News Flash – Institute for Christian Ministry Changes!!

Improvements in the guidelines for preparation of Commissioned Ministers by the General Commission on Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) are moving Christian College to take the next step in curriculum development.  Please note the Christian College application of these improvements as we advance our mission of preparing Disciples of Christ for Ministry and Service:

The Core Educational Curriculum of the Institute for Christian Ministry was originally based on the Nazareth Consensus of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  This curriculum is being developed and expanded for persons who are called to or seeking opportunities for ministry as Commissioned Minister, whether seeking ordination or not, in accordance with the learning outcomes established by the General Commission on Ministry.  The Courses are typically offered at an undergraduate level of instruction and are primarily designed for persons who are unlikely to enroll in a graduate program/theological seminary as their academic preparation for Christian Ministry.

If you are a current student, a prospective student, or someone who is following the Christian College curriculum for Commissioned Ministers in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and you have questions, please contact Dr. Bob Harris at 1-800-235-2496.
