Welcome to the Christian College of Georgia!!  

We are glad that you are visiting our website!  

Christian College of Georgia is celebrating the completion of our first three-year cycle of classes offered through the Institute for Christian Ministry.  We are looking ahead to the future growth of our mission and ministry of keeping Disciples meaningfully connected with their Church.  If you are interested in excellent preparation for ministry, please consider enrolling in one or more of our courses (see “Core Curriculum” tab for more information).

As President of Christian College of Georgia, I invite you to join us in the ministries of Christian College of Georgia.  There are numerous ways in which you can participate.

Thanks to many faithful leaders, supporters, students and participants over the decades, we are now at a place of significant opportunity for ministry in the twenty-first century.  Consider some of the ways in which Christian College is already successful in keeping Disciples meaningfully connected with their Church:

-College students are not drifting away when they leave home – they are investing themselves in ministry and seeking ways to serve God and neighbor. If you are a college student or young adult seeking an opportunity to service, Disciples on Campus offers many opportunities for you.

-Faithful Disciples are not only diligent in their congregations but are participating in first-class, top-notch training with some of Georgia’s finest leaders, developing skills for ministry as laypersons.  If you are a church member seeking opportunities to learn more, do more, be more, the Institute for Christian Ministry offers a wonderful opportunity for you.

-Older adults are looking beyond the R&R of retirement and finding new joy in learning how to serve as Licensed Ministers.  If you are planning to retire, but you are committed to continuing to serve, Christian College of Georgia can help you shape your future Christian vocation.

-Clergy are not only fulfilling the calling they heard as youth and young adults; they are also discovering new dimensions of ministry and hearing God’s voice more clearly for today and tomorrow. If you are a minister or a seminarian and are looking for ways to connect in meaningful ways with others who share your commitment, we offer ways to nurture and sustain collegial relationships.

We envision a future of vitality in Christian Spirituality, Community and Ministry among Disciples, Students and Clergy in the Region of Georgia.  Our mission is to nurture, educate and prepare Disciples for ministry and service.

Institution of Higher Education. Of particular note is our hosting of our Global Mission Partner, the Reverend Phyllis Byrd, during her return from her ministry in Kenya.  She will be with us in May and June, and our calendar will reflect the opportunities Christian College if sponsoring for people to interact with her.  Please return to this site in April for more details.  You will also notice the creative contributions of one of our faculty members and Trustees – the Reverend Landa Harris Simmons.  Landa is the author of the Bible Study lessons on the popular book The Shack.  The introduction and first lesson are free for your review.  Additional lessons are available for $15.00 (for all seven lessons).  Also beginning in April, we will acknowledge those honored or remembered through gifts to the Christian College of Georgia.  We look forward to sharing these acts of caring and generosity.

Christian College of Georgia has always enjoyed a strong and vital partnership with the Mission for Biblical Literacy.  Indeed, our former President, Dr. Roger N.
